In 1984 the Putnam Special Services District was created. The District Authority consists of a five member board. This board is responsible for overseeing the operations and budgets of the General Government of the Putnam Special Services District, Putnam Police Department, Putnam Fire Department, and the Putnam Emergency Dispatch Center.
Meetings of the Putnam Special Services District are held at 7:00 PM on the second Monday of each month. The meetings are held at the District Chambers Room located within the Putnam Police Department at 189 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260
Anyone wishing to find out more information about the Putnam Special Services District should contact Lucille Herrick, executive secretary, at 860-928-5529. The Special Services District office is located on the third floor of the Town Hall. Office hours are 8 AM to 4 PM Monday thru Friday.
